About me

Hey there!

First off: THANKS to all who read, and follow, my rantings here and elsewhere! It truly means a lot to me.

Well, shall I get started then?

Roland E. Williams is the name, and I am quite pleased to meet you.

I hail from the island of Sint Maarten, but I was born on another island, Aruba, on December 2nd 1958, and moved to Sint Maarten when I was nine years old.

At the age of seventeen I moved to The Netherlands after completing secondary school where I studied and worked in a variety of fields.

I have worked in the IT field for over thirty years, but have always been busy writing poetry and, occasionally at first, short stories.

In June of 2016, the only poem I had ever dared submit, Each Season Given To Us, was published online at Leaves of Ink. I have since submitted more poems to other sites online.

All-in-all, I have lived in Aruba, Sint Maarten, The Netherlands, and the Dominican Republic. I currently live on Sint Maarten.

I love to write, read, cook, dance bachata, shoot pool with friends, and chat.

I also spend a lot of time blogging, reading astronomical literature, studying maths and physics, and discovering all kinds of nonsensical tidbits that I lovingly share during conversations with friends and loved ones.
