And yet another poem for your enjoyment!

Hey all!

I am in a very good mood today! It's raining out, and the clouds are covering the hilltops. Great weather for a Saturday, but can't do laundry.

I'm here feeling like sharing more with you good folks, so I will.

What about another poem? Hmm, that ought to whet some appetites! And more will come.

Here's another one I have chosen to share with you, it's an ode to my father who passed in 1988. He was an amazingly strong man.

TEARS OF A SILENT MAN
As I kneel here
bent over
just a moment ago
we stood in awe watching
wond’ring
for a moment forever
just how tall
we were standing

As I kneel here
bent over
I remember a sound
deafeningly noiseless
then black
forever seems much shorter
then the wall
how’d I get here?

As I kneel here
bent over
one moment, and no wall
my aching arms sole proof
of that
memories filled with black holes
not a choice
of my making

As I kneel here
bent over
a moment long ago
a beady line of sweat
product
of today’s menacing Sun
on my brow
unable to care

As I kneel here
bent over
all moments are now one
instinct is my master
too shocked
yet, for sorrow to command
but the dust
has settled down

As I kneel here
bent over
how much time has gone by?
how many moments lost?
too long,
must push so much aside now
must be here
must find you now
As I kneel here
bent over
time has frozen again
my arms do not ache now
no pains
must be beneath this big log
and you are
so beautiful

As I kneel here
bent over
a tear has found its way
to the tip of my nose
but for
a broken moment later
it flows down
your lifeless cheek
