Another poem: an ode to mom

It is not that I am in a sad mood, but just wanted to share one of the odes I wrote for my mom.

___
A LAST GLIMPSE
That last time I saw you
You didn’t seem much older
But for the grey of death

You didn’t hear us enter
As if you were expecting us
Your smile never so young

And the few lines in your face
Bearing happiness and pain
So weary, yet this moment so alive

And your soft spoken words
Whose echoes I still carry within me
As I do your endless love
___

Hope you enjoyed it.

Thank you so much for your time and for your attention. Be safe and much love.
